The Houston County Virtual Academy serves as the virtual school for students in the Houston County Alabama school district. The school offices are located at 662 West Main Street in Dothan, Alabama.

The school was opened in 2021-2022 for students K-12.
The average enrollment for K-12 is 300 students.

Students K-5 participate virtually with teachers through zoom and use the
Schoology platform.
Students 6-12 use the standards-aligned video-based curriculum from Edgenuity as well as face-to-face instruction in math, English, and science. 
Edgenuity provides direct instruction videos, onscreen teachers and provides
standards-based learning.
